The Clark Brothers & North City Grass Band was originally founded by Marvin and Denny Clark. Two brothers who with the guidance of their father F.M . Clark , and traveling to numerous festivals and shows became great musicians in bluegrass music. They have been around bluegrass and gospel music ever since they were just a kid, and were inspired by great musicians such as Bill Monroe and Jimmy Martin. When performing on stage they strive to give the audience the best show while adding humor to it. It’s not uncommon to see them dancing on stage or doing things just to change it up and make people laugh! This is where the other band members come in.
Clint White who is the youngest of the group and is the fiddle player loves telling his jokes in between songs. He has been playing the fiddle for 4yrs. after being in Chicago, IL. and hearing some bluegrass music and being instantly inspired.
Tom Richardson their banjo player , is an outstanding talented musician who brings a special sound to the group with his banjo, which by the way he built his self using whatever fit and worked including transmission parts! Tom was inspired by his father who also played music and banjo player Tim Ellis. Tom also adds to the sound with his vocals.
The Clark Brothers & North City Grass Band as a whole dedicate themselves to bringing good old fashioned bluegrass to the table while also throwing in some gospel music when requested, making it a good rounded show. They also continue to search for ways to promote and continue the music that Bill Monroe inspired in all of us. |
